DMIS Age Policies 3-year-old Program A prospective student must:
- Turn 3 years old by Dec. 31 of the year in which he or she is enrolled. Children born between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 will be evaluated by DMIS’ Teachers Council.
- Be potty-trained before the first day of school. No pull-up diapers will be allowed. DMIS accommodates “accidents.” However, when DMIS deems accidents too frequent, parents will be asked to keep their children at home. Parents will remain responsible for the student’s tuition and fees as contracted.
Pre-Kindergarten Program A prospective student must:
- Turn 4 years old by Dec. 31 of the year in which he or she is enrolled.

Parents wanting to enroll their children in a different school will need to follow that school’s age requirements.
