DMIS Featured in The Denver Post
Denver Montclair International School’s unique curricula that still emphasizes cursive writing was featured in an article of The Denver Post written by Kevin Simpson. In his article, “Colorado schools are beginning to write off cursive handwriting,” Simpson explores the trend of many schools eliminating cursive instruction entirely. Because DMIS follows the standards of the French, Spanish and Chinese governments, cursive writing is still an integral part of a DMIS education. However, technology skills are not overlooked, as DMIS students learn how to type in 4th grade and visit the computer lab at least once a week starting in Kindergarten.
