DMIS Raises Money for Homeless

DMIS students, teachers and staff recently raised over $700 to help the homeless in Denver by participating in the city-wide Pajama Day event. Students donated $1 and adults $5 to wear their pajamas to school. With almost 100 percent participation, the Rocky Mountain region’s oldest international school was able to donate a significant amount to the Mile High United Way and Denver’s Road Home — the non-profit organizations working together to end homelessness in Denver. We were pleased to welcome two members from the Pajama Day committee to the school on Pajama Day. They visited several Early Childhood Education classrooms (for children ages 3 -5) where they read the students stories and talked to them about the importance of helping the homeless and giving back to their communities.
