DMIS is “Eco-Healthy”

DMIS is among a small group of schools nationwide that have received “Eco-Healthy Child Care” certification from the Oregon Environmental Council.

To gain this certification, we underwent a rigorous self-study and answered questions about pesticides and pest prevention, air quality, household chemicals, lead, mercury, furniture and carpets, art supplies, plastics and plastic toys, recycling and garbage storage and playground equipment.

We’re pleased to be recognized for operating a healthy school that is committed to reducing children’s exposure to toxins and other environmental health hazards.
