Student Travel
Denver Montclair International School students are given a world of opportunity — in AND out of the classroom. Not only do they receive a stellar education from our nurturing and highly qualified faculty, but they also benefit immensely from the hands-on experiences of special class trips. Starting in the 3rd grade, these go beyond typical field trips and include unique learning opportunities that encourage academic, social, emotional and physical growth.
3rd Grade — Ski Trip
In the 3rd grade, students from all language programs head into the mountains for one week of skiing and team-building. This is a crucial time for the students to bond as a larger group — cutting across language programs to become one united 3rd grade class.
4th Grade — Keystone Science School
In 4th grade, students from all language programs travel together to the Keystone Science School (KSS) for one week of intensive science instruction in English. Led by KSS faculty, the students follow the set science curriculum learning about water conservation, forest and aquatic ecology, environmental issues, etc.
5th Grade — Study Abroad Trip
The French 5th graders traveled to France in the fall of 2010 for the 12th year in a row, the Spanish 4th and 5th graders went to Spain and the English-only 5th grade class traveled to Washington, D.C. to conclude their American History studies. A trip to China for the Mandarin 5th graders will be coming in the future.
