World Tea Fair

Silver teapot and an antique chinese cup of tea. It’s only fitting that the Rocky Mountain region’s oldest international school would celebrate tea, the world’s drink. Everyone is invited to attend this vibrant exhibit — which offers fun for the whole family and a great sense of DMIS’ spirit. At the World Tea Fair, you’ll learn about other cultures and the healthy, aromatic drink itself. You’ll get to sample and purchase high-quality teas and teatime treats. You’ll watch tea servers demonstrate service customs from around the world. And you’ll learn how to buy great tea and pair it well with food.

We’re already thinking of ways to make the 2011 DMIS World Tea Fair a fun and educational time for all. If you’d like to sponsor this vibrant community event or volunteer to support it, please contact Community Relations Director Kate Ashley at (303) 340-DMIS (3647) or kate@dmischool.com.

DMIS’ 8th Annual World Tea Fair on Jan. 31 was a fabulous time. With nearly a dozen countries represented and more than 300 attendees, it was our largest World Tea Fair yet. The Open House and campus tour we hosted one hour before the fair’s start attracted more than 30 families wanting to learn about our unique educational mission.

DMIS extends special thanks to our generous sponsors, including lead sponsor Celestial Seasonings and our parent volunteers. We’re also particularly grateful for certified tea expert Judy Williams of Tea Talks in Littleton. She presented lectures on the health benefits of tea, pairing tea and chocolate and tea’s historical impact throughout the world.
