Lunch Program
Denver Montclair International School is pleased to partner with Alain Veratti of Crepes n’ Crepes to produce fresh and healthy meals for our students. Alain has a passion for food and teaching children about making healthy choices. He has been providing lunch service for Stanley British Primary School and the Logan School for years, and DMIS has finally made the leap to join our neighbors in this program. Lunches are cooked from scratch at Stanley British Primary School’s kitchen and will be delivered fresh to DMIS daily.
DETAILS:
Lunch service for the Kindergarten through 6th grade students will take place in the cafeteria and will operate like a traditional lunch line with a hot and vegetarian option, vegetables, fruit and 1% milk from Robinson Dairy. We will have limited soy milk available for students who order lunch and are lactose intolerant. With this new program, the lunch period will be extended to 30 minutes and recess time will be 30 minutes. As students in the 3 Year-Old and Pre-Kindergarten programs eat in their classrooms, they will not be going through a lunch line and we will pre-plate their meals for them, including a fruit and vegetable. Lunches will be delivered to the classrooms by DMIS staff and volunteers.
ADDED BENEFITS:
Students will need to take certain items from the lunch line (a fruit and vegetable) and will make choices on entrée items in which they are interested. This will encourage the students to become more engaged in making their food choices. A longer lunch period will allow students the opportunity to enjoy their meal with classmates. At the same time, DMIS is becoming more environmentally conscious and will be teaching our students a valuable lesson about reusing, recycling and composting. Our lunch trays will be washed and reused daily and the silverware and napkins will all be composted (along with a majority of the food scraps). Milk cartons will be recycled.
PRICING:
Lunches for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be $4.75 (including milk). Lunches for students in 3 Year-Old and Pre-Kindergarten classes will be $3.75 (including milk), as their options are more limited and serving sizes are smaller. Milk can be ordered a la carte for the week for $2.00.
ORDERING WINDOW:
The ordering window will be open from the 5th to the 25th of each month prior to the service window (e.g., Sept. 5-25 for Oct. lunches). Field trip lunches will not be provided through the lunch program so please do not order on days when your student has a field trip scheduled over the lunch period. Teachers will notify families of field trips prior to the order window closing, so any adjustments can be made. If you plan to order for any days during the first full week of school (Aug. 29-Sept. 2), you must complete your order by Thurs., Aug. 25. You can also order September meals at this time as well and the ordering window for Sept. will close Mon., Aug. 29.
**The lunch program is peanut and peanut-oil free based on the production requirements of the provider. Absence of other potential allergens cannot be guaranteed.
ORDERING ONLINE:
Our School Lunch order form is now online. All lunch orders should be placed online using the website order form. To place a lunch order, go to www.orgsonline.com, the service hosting our lunch ordering system. We have set up a family account to allow you to access options like: PLACE ORDERS; VIEW ORDERS; VIEW PAYMENTS, VIEW/UPDATE ACCOUNT and more!
You can log in using Parent 2’s email address (NOTE: if you try an email address and are unable to gain access, please try another email address). The password is the first 5 letters of your student’s last name in capital letters, plus your 5 digit zip code (e.g. BUSHH80230).
The ordering window will be open from the 5th to the 25th of each month prior to the ordering window (e.g., September 5-25 for October lunches). As field trip lunches will not be provided, please do not order on days when your student has a field trip scheduled over the lunch period. Teachers will notify families of field trips prior to the order window closing, so any adjustments can be made.
To submit an order:
1) Click on the link for “Online Lunch Module.”
2) Select PLACE LUNCH ORDER. Submit a separate order for each person ordering a lunch.
3) When each order has been submitted, select the REVIEW ORDER button at the bottom of the page.
4) On the Review Order page, select the SUBMIT ORDER button to confirm the order.
A confirmation email will be sent as orders are recorded. If you receive duplicate order confirmations, do not worry. Duplicate orders are not possible. To see what you ordered, log-in to your account and select VIEW ORDERS. You will see exactly what the system has recorded for each student. You can view and print your orders at any time.
As orders are submitted, the total amount due per family is listed under the CURRENT BALANCE. After all lunch orders have been submitted, select the PAY NOW button to submit your online payment. (The PAY NOW button appears below the CURRENT BALANCE amount shown on your account’s main page.) Follow the on-screen prompts to complete and submit your payment. If applicable, a Convenience Fee charge may appear when you view the total amount due. (Note: A “Convenience Fee” when added to the amount due, helps cover processing fees charged to the lunch program when we accept online payments.)
If you have any questions regarding your payment, select the VIEW PAYMENTS option to see if a payment was recorded to your account. You will see exactly what the system has recorded for your account.
Please remember:
- You need to place a separate order for each child (or staff member) ordering lunch.
- Submit all orders before selecting the PAY NOW button to submit a payment.
- Next time you access your online lunch account you will enter the email address and password created when you set up your account.
- If you encounter a login problem use the GET HELP button to request assistance.
- If you attempt to order after the cut-off date, the system will not accept your order.
If you forget your password in the future – relax! Simply select the RETRIEVE MY PASSWORD option to have your password automatically sent to the email address listed in your account. If you do not receive that email then select the GET HELP option to submit a Trouble Report.
You MUST process each order through until you see the Order Confirmation page. Do not stop until you see an Order Confirmation for the order submitted. The system does not recognize an order until you see the Confirmation Page. We cannot process your order if has not been fully submitted and confirmed.
