Science Week at DMIS
The English Program at DMIS will host Science Week May 16 – 20. This week includes a Science Fair on Wed., May 18 from 1 – 3:15 p.m. in the DMIS gymnasium where 4th and 5th graders will present their science projects to the younger students. On Thurs., May 19, local favorite “Vic the Science Wizard” will be holding a school assembly for all elementary students in grades 1 – 5. Throughout the week, elementary students will experience multiple hands-on science experiments and activities in class with their English teachers. Science is an integral part of a DMIS student’s rigorous and well-rounded education. DMIS students receive science instruction in their target language — French, Mandarin Chinese or Spanish — starting as young as 3 years old, and then specifically in English in the 4th and 5th grades.
