Week 6: “We Will Rock You!”
It’s official; Week 6 was the week of rockin’ campers. And not just musically… extreme athletes, budding artists and scientists, roaming rangers, all of them contributed to the heady atmosphere of creation and exploration that fueled all of our efforts this week. See for yourself, through our YouTube channel and Photo Album.
First to lead the way in artistic inspiration were our language camps, as they explored the world of colors and art with painted faces, multi-colored cupcakes, and tales of natural and artistic beauty from their journeys to the Botanic Gardens and Art Museum. Meanwhile, our 3/4 variety camp led the way in independence and exploration as Roaming Rangers, as they explored the natural world around us here on campus and in local parks. Lacrosse camp made an entirely different kind of music with their sticks, as their hard work and athleticism demonstrated the power of having fun with your team. Also in the mix was Wheels camp, as they showed us the real meaning of pure confidence and heavy metal, as they performed daring feats without hesitation. Finally, the School of Rock took elements from each of the camps as they explored the world of music, visiting recording studios and putting on a show for the whole school. With creativity, teamwork, and daring, they brought the house down. Rock on campers, in every way you can… you’re all doing a great job!
